ICT World Skills Competition

On October 23, 7 Students from the ASMS Certificate III Information Technology took part in the World Skills Competition. Our students are competing against other Certificate III IT students from across the state for the chance to represent SA at the National Competition in Brisbane in 2025. WorldSkills International (WSI) promotes the benefits of and need for skilled professionals through grassroots community projects, skill competitions, and knowledge exchange through international cooperation and development between industry, government, organisations, and institutions.

Our regional competition heat was held at TAFESA Tonsley with Industry providers Ben from Data#3 and Sean, Head of ICT at Pembroke judging and presenting heat awards. Students undertook 10 tasks including the following;

The results across all students were very close, with only 1.5 points between 1st and 3rd for the heat.

These students now await the completion of other heats across the state to find out their state ranking.
