International Students Cleland Excursion

Cleland Wildlife Park played host to our very enthusiastic group of international students last Thursday. This is a reflection from the group who had a wonderful time experiencing everything Cleland had to offer.

Upon arrival we “walked with purpose” to the koala meet and greet area and had photos taken with Matilda the koala. Her fur was soft, her claws were long, and her appetite was ravenous.

We moved from there to feed kangaroos, wallabies, potoroos, emus, and check out other Aussie wildlife like wombats, echidnas, dingoes, and Tasmanian devils. We ate snacks, took a million photos and generally had an awesome time.

Kay was very happy that we didn’t snore too loudly in the bus on the way back to school.

I loved being with my friends from school, patting and feeding the Australian animals like kangaroos and koalas, and going to Mount Lofty for the views. The whole day was simply magical.
