In this module of Truth and Perception, our students are exploring the question – how is the truth justified from evidence?
This will involve collecting ‘proof’ from data analysis, qualitative and quantitative observations, experimentation in labs, working collaboratively, and understanding and carrying out safety procedures in the laboratory students will experiment to test for proof.
Our Truth and Perception students were putting tofu cubes in test tubes, adding pepsin enzymes in a variety of pH and temp conditions, and then measuring the rates of the protein breakdown reactions.
This unit allows students to utilise evidence to make good, strong, informed choices in science contexts while covering the chemistry subtopics of enzymes, chemical formulas and equations, reaction rates and energy in reactions.
