ISF Week 2024

In Week 7 the ASMS held its 20th Celebration International Science Fair. For this year’s event we welcomed 7 international schools from 6 countries, 1 interstate school and 2 regional South Australian Schools with students investigating the theme: Engineering A Future.

It was an honour for the school to welcome back Jim Davies and Graeme Oliver our first Principal and Deputy Principal who initiated our ISF 20 years ago to the Opening Ceremony, as well as our former International Coordinator Julie Cassidy who organised a massive 18 of our 20 International Science Fair events. The ASMS values the driving forces of our staff past and present, helping to shape the minds and building relationships between budding scientists for such a long time.

Throughout the week visitors and ASMS students participated in excursions, incursions and research to support their chosen Challenge Based Learning inquiry, finishing the week with the ISF Expo to present their achievements from the week.

A wonderful week was had by visiting students and teachers as well as our ASMS students and teachers as they explored the ways in which they can Engineer their Future and make impacts within different facets of the science world.
