Every year the Mathematical Association of SA holds a quiz night for students. It involves both mathematics and general knowledge with some problem-solving thrown in. It is held in a range of venues across the state, and we were lucky to be one of the host schools with teams from Seaview High School and St John’s College joining in the fun.
We had three teams in the Senior (Year 11 and 12) division and one team in the Intermediate (Year 9 and 10) division. The team of Jackson, William and James won the overall prize for the Intermediate division as did the team of Alex, Ryan, Monica and Tomasz for the Senior division.
Additionally, the team of Nicole, Nazif, Max, and Ryan won the best General Knowledge prize in the Senior division.
Although they did not win a prize, we thank the third ASMS senior team of Rachel, Kai, Jess and Rosemary for their participation.
Thanks to teachers Tun, Amanda, Jo, and PK and to Kylie for their support on the night.
