ADF Careers Talk
An ASMS Alumni, Flight Lieutenant Darpan ‘Dev’ Dhawan, came back to ASMS in Week 9 to share his experience of working in the ADF and other career pathways through ADF. He also talked about how ASMS helped prepare him for his career, ADF Academy entry, STEM focussed roles within ADF and what subject selections might be important in school.
Around 35 students attended and were highly engaged in what Dev had to say, while also asking lots of questions. The session ran well over time but Dev was really helpful in staying around to make sure as many student inquiries as possible were answered.
“Presentation was very good, I got the answers I wanted and it was direct” Thanvanth Year 11
“It was a very informative speech, which gave me other perspectives and now I feel clearer about my future career pathway” Gelsey Year 11
“Pretty enticing” Kyle Year 12
“It was very educational and gave us a very clear idea of the different application types and methods” Eva Year 11
