Principal’s Message

Year 12s farewell: Our Year 12s have been farewelled today. In the tradition of the ASMS we celebrated their achievements with our assembly yesterday and staff cooked up a breakfast-storm this morning. It is a significant milestone for our Year 12s, and we wish them well in the final assessment processes. With good planning and support, students can manage this time with a positive mindset and outcome. Our Presentation Night (27 November) is our final opportunity to celebrate with students, and invitations will be sent via email soon; I look forward to seeing our Year 12s officially graduate from the ASMS.

The end of year results will be available for students on Monday 16 December 2024 from 8:30am from the SACE website – https://www.sace.sa.edu.au/. On result day there will be a prominent banner on the SACE Board website with a link that directs students to check their results in the Students Online System. Students are advised to check their accounts beforehand and ensure that they are using a personal email address and not their school email address as this email address will become inactive after students leave school.

Hats off to teachers this World Teachers’ Day: Today the ASMS has celebrated and thanked the teaching profession for their work in educating, inspiring and supporting our students. Several of our students have taken a moment to take their “hats off” to celebrate teachers, and to tell them what they mean to them.

Staffing Announcement: I am pleased to announce that Sarah Hollinshead has been appointed to the positions of Coordinator: Inclusion and Learner Support from 2025. We wish Sarah all the best in their position.

Transition Day: On Wednesday 20 November our current Year 10 & 11 students will be welcoming students new to ASMS in 2025. Over the coming weeks our students will be preparing activities to ‘induct’ our new students to the culture and agency of the ASMS.
