Changemakers 2025

This year has seen some enhancements to the structure of our student group, the Changemakers. Year 11 Changemakers are now representing one of the 3 sub-groups to facilitate clear foci and allow small group collaboration as well as all Changemakers groups coming together for larger collaboration opportunities. The 3 subgroups of foci that Changemakers will pursue this year are; Social Coordinators, Community Builders and Curriculum Reviewers.

We are proud to share that the following Year 11 students have accepted their role as a Changemakers and are working on their 2025 plans as we speak. Congratulations to;

William, James, Lauren, Luke, Emma, Arden, June, Ari, Clara, Aden, Trinity, Matilda.

Changemakers purpose statement:  As ASMS Changemakers, we strive to empower students by ensuring their voices shape our learning, school experience, ASMS culture and the wider community. Through codesigning with teachers and leaders, fostering a supportive and inclusive culture, and organising engaging social events, we work to lead a school where every student feels heard, valued, and inspired so that together we can continue to make the ASMS an even better place.

Curriculum Reviewers purpose statement: As curriculum reviewers our purpose is to give students the ability to have a voice about their own education. We drive the feedback loop between teachers and students to review and codesign curriculum, delivery, and resources to positively influence the education of the student body. (Aden, Arden, Trinity & Clara)

Community Builders purpose statement: As Community Builders our goal is to communicate with our peers to bring their ideas to life to benefit their school experience, both inside and outside of the classroom as well as across the whole community to promote inclusivity, safety and comfort at the ASMS. (Wil, James, June, & Ariana)

Social Coordinators purpose statement: As social coordinators, our purpose is to enrich the school experience and culture by organising diverse and engaging events that build positive relationships, promote school spirit, encourage participation, and inspire a positive school culture. We are dedicated to creating a fun, inclusive, and lively atmosphere where every student feels welcomed and valued. (Emma, Luke, Matilda, & Lauren)
