The 10-16 June was the 30th anniversary of International Men’s Health Week. Men’s Health Week was established to counter some of the stigma with men seeking help and to advocate for their health needs. Though there has been some progress in those 30 years there is still more work that that needs to be done.
In the lead up to this week, our ASMS students joined with some of the teachers to promote physical health awareness through the Push Up Challenge, completing over 5000 push ups together! Our students held a BBQ fundraiser at lunchtime to raise funds for the charity Headspace, with help from our Service Club and staff volunteers.
Thank you to all our staff who participated in the challenge and supported our students in this initiative.
