National Jet Systems
On Wednesday, Week 2 10 female students were invited by National Jet Systems, a branch of the Qantas Group, to experience an NJS Aviation Panel at Adelaide Airport. Students heard from and networked with Martin Herrling (Deputy Head of Flight Operations), Siobhan Lennard (Senior Manager CAMO A220), Hisham Hamdan (Senior Manager AMO, Systems & Process).
Students competed against the panellists in a paper airplane competition and took the title. Students were excited because they gained great insight into aviation course requirements pathways, scope of the many fields within Aviation, and the opportunities for all.

On Wednesday 8 May, Week 2, the ASMS Debating Team participated in their first official debate for Debating SA this year. The topics include “Italy ban on lab grow meat is a good idea”, and “Australia should adopt 15 minute cities”. We also had Alan, our international student join the team who received some very positive feedback from the panel.
