It’s nearly the end of schooling for our Year 12s. Students sat trial exams in Week 7 and many students have commented that they found this valuable preparation as it helped them identify their strengths and areas for improvement for the exams that will commence in Term 4. As with all examinations, students are required to attend or provide a medical certificate if they are absent. More information will be distributed about exams early next term.
Most Year 12 students have now completed all their course work and school-based assessment requirements for the year. Normal classes will run up to and including Thursday Week 2 of Term 4, and the school will host its traditional ASMS Year 12 Farewell Breakfast for all our Year 12s on Friday 25 October commencing at 7.30am.
Students will be informally farewelled at 8.30am and will then leave school premises for the day, maintaining the tradition of this farewell. Students will be formally farewelled at the ASMS Presentation Night on Wednesday 27 November and students will receive information about this at the Farewell Breakfast.
No formal Year 12 lessons will be held during Week 3, but students are encouraged and invited to discuss times to meet with their teachers as they undertake their revision.
