Our International Science Fair was, once again, an amazing success! With 260 year 10 and 11 students and 51 staff from ASMS, 6 staff and 18 students visiting from Craigmore, Roxby Downs and Burra in South Australia, and being joined online by 15 teachers and 128 students from interstate and overseas, it was our biggest one ever!
Students and staff worked together on a huge range of challenges and some students and staff had the opportunity to collaborate online with students from overseas and interstate as well as our visiting students and staff. There was an incredible energy and spirit of collaboration that permeated the building and beyond as students pursued their passions and interests throughout the week, having the chance to work in an authentic intercultural environment that truly allowed us to Change the World and Celebrate Difference.
The poster competition was won by Tara and Rosana from Craigmore High School whose powerful poster encouraged us all to see beyond nationalities, family circumstances and stereotypes when we consider the worth of another. A selection of the finalist posters will soon be displayed in the school.
They’re incredible and are a true reflection of how all of us can change the world and celebrate difference.
