In the Truth and Perception course, Year 10/11 students are busy learning about geometric theorems in their “Proofs and Conjectures Unit: Is it True?” don’t be surprised if your young person joins a conversation with, “that’s not a valid statement, the evidence is too weak… try giving me a more logical and sound series of premises before you make such conclusions!”
Students have previously learned about the physics of light, so the images here show some interdisciplinary connections between physics and geometry. One image in particular is depicting a light ray following the path of an angle subtended by an arc of a circle.
