As part of our exploration of the nature of Truth and Perception, we have spent the last few weeks analysing how film makers use a range of features, techniques and conventions to manipulate the audience’s perceptions.
In addition, the films used, The Matrix and The Truman Show both have the theme of truth and perception, which has led to some amazing classroom discussions as we pull apart the similarities and differences in the two films.
This has culminating in the production of a multimedia response where students compare the film techniques used across the films in a multi-media response, with common topics including the use of colour and lighting, symbolism and motifs, camera angles and sound.
Remember, there is no spoon.
