In week one of Term 3, students were confronted with a challenge on their return from holidays. As part of their learning about light, vision and perception in Truth and Perception all students were offered the chance to complete an eye dissection.
While this did cause discomfort for some, it was an opportunity to not only practice dissection skills, but a chance to put the learning of the structure of the eye in context and see parts of the eye not normally visible.
We were able to follow this up with a variety of illusion as we explored the role our brains play in perception, although there was sadly no dissection for this.
