In week 3, our ASMS students will be participating in a range of excursions and incursions to stretch their capabilities, skills, perspectives, and knowledge that ties into their learning in each Central Study for this semester. It’s also a chance for our young people to learn and enjoy themselves without the pressure of assessment.
Some of the incursions on offer include code breaker and cooling gases, science of flavour and blood spatter demo, BioMed and Australian animal diversity at Flinders, the secrets of codes & the science of flavour at Flinders, material science and analytical chemistry at Flinders, macro photography, aviation workshop, STEM in sport, digital art masterclass, hands-on pracs in the lab, indigenous art inspired creations and more.
The excursions for this year include Monarto and Adelaide Zoo, RedArc Electronics, Space Discovery Centre, Lot 14 and SA Museum, MOD Museum, Mix Masters Production, Belair National Park, and SAGE automation. We can’t wait for our students to have the opportunity to collect data and extend their learning opportunities outside of the ASMS.
