This week the Year 12 Health Class are going to Flinders Medical Centre to participate in the P.A.R.T.Y program, which stands for the Prevention of Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma for young people.
This program is run by nursing staff, paramedics, doctors, and other medical specialists who will teach our students about the implications of risky behaviour in all areas of their lives. Our Year 12 students will then evaluate the program as part of their assessment for Year 12 Health Sciences.
This experience will also provide them with the opportunity to share this knowledge with their circle of friends and be a constructive changemaker in the community when it comes to risk related behaviours.
