Year 12 Seminar Day

Our year 12 students were blessed with a beautiful day to be off site at the Brighton Seacliff Yacht Club for their Seminar Day. The students were presented with a range of information about Year 12 covering the intricacies of SACE and ATARs, wellbeing, study skills and subject specific advice. Our guest speaker, Associate Professor Voula Gaganis outlined not only university pathways in medical science but also spoke about the skills and dispositions that Universities expect undergraduates to have attained by the end of Year 12.

The PowerPoints from the day are available on the Learning Studies Page in the Portal and students were urged to share some of the key information presented with their parents and caregivers. Students also received forms for the purchase of the Year 12 jumper, and for a range of study guides and workbooks. Students were advised to discuss with their subject teachers which books were recommended they buy. Orders for jumpers and study guides/workbooks need to be placed before February 14. Ideally students will place their orders throughout next week.

Students were also advised that the date of the Year 12 Formal is Friday 9 May. This event will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
