The annual ASMS Activities Day was back and better than ever before for 2022!
Our students came dressed in their finery in their team colours of red, yellow, blue, and green to get into the spirit of the day.
With DJ Marcus spinning tunes, timekeepers at the ready, and a team of teachers tracking the points, it was a full-scale operation to rival the Olympics!
This year we did things a little differently as each student was also able to self-nominate to compete in beginner, intermediate, or advanced track and field events.
The students were also able to compete in their Learning Studies group to play team games such as pétanque, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, soccer and the wildcard…a spelling bee!
Throughout the day, our ASMS cohort got into the groove, with group dances like the Macarena and Nutbush entertaining the masses.
The day finished off with crowd favourites like the egg and spoon race and an epic tug of war between the students and staff, with the triumphant teachers securing an unexpected win.
As the day came to an end the entire cohort waited with bated breath for the results. With a makeshift drumroll it was revealed that Red had taken home the gold!
Overall Activities Day 2022 was a fantastic display of school spirit, sportsmanship, and camaraderie for the ASMS.
