In Body in Question, Students have continued to inquire into how the body works using both biological and biomechanical lenses. They have undertaken a range of learning including building realistic scale models of bones and muscles using sculpting clay as well as completing many body-based experiments to explore Newton’s Laws of motion.
A particular highlight has been an excursion to laboratories at Flinders University Tonsley campus where students have learn about surgical tools and imaging, orthopaedic implants, The Hexapod, a robot that can replicate human movement with high accuracy, motion capture and gait analysis and physiological systems.
