Our ASMS representatives have returned from the International Student Science Fair (ISSF) hosted by the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology in Brisbane last week!
Students Vicky and Sofia were ambassadors for the ASMS along with groups from across the globe including USA, UK, Cambodia, Mongolia, Singapore, Japan, Kenya, Nepal, Thailand, Russia, Uganda, the Netherlands, and China.
The focus of this fair was on a selection of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and finding solutions to these key issues. At ISSF, our students showed the work they did in in collaboration with the St Odulphuslyceum School from the Netherlands, presenting their scientific poster and doing an oral presentation for the ISSF cohort.
They also enjoyed the hospitality of QASMAT where they were taken on a tour of the University of Queensland, attended STEM workshops, experienced First Nations cultural performances, as well as visits to the Queensland Museum and Art Gallery.
Thank you so much to QASMAT for a fantastic ISSF experience!
