Curiosity in the Community (CiC) week gives our Year 10 & 11 students the chance to extend their STEM knowledge and develop their Learner Attributes while undertaking meaningful service learning.
During this week our Year 10 and 11 students visited the Riverland where they delivered hands-on mathematics and science practicals to Ramco and Waikerie Primary Schools, welcomed groups of senior citizens to our school to teach them how to use VR, delivered STEM outreach programs to schools in Roxby Downs, Woomera, Andamooka as well as in local primary schools in our area, supported conservation and land management efforts at Belair National Park and Hallet Cove Conservation Park, explored renewable energy and resources at Yankalilla, and aligned their placements to their career aspirations through work experience.
Thank you to everyone who has welcomed the ASMS groups into their communities and given our young people the opportunity to learn and connect with them this week.
