Today is International Women’s Day – a chance for us all to celebrate the achievements of women and take action against inequality. This year’s theme for #IWD is #BreakTheBias which aims to encourage people to call out gender stereotypes and discrimination in all spaces.
Today’s events were led by the young women of the ASMS, who organised and planned out the activities of the day. Our students started out by educating ourselves and reflecting on the importance of IWD, then played a quiz to inform the cohort about significant women in history who have challenged gender roles.
The students of the ASMS also had time to reflect and contribute to a poster and take a photo in solidarity of forging a gender equal future.
