The National Reconciliation Week 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between the past, present and future. The week began with our ASMS delegates attending the Reconciliation Breakfast, at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Kaurna Yerta. With keynote speakers Professor Jackie Huggins AM FAHA and the Hon Kyam Maher MLC as well as amazing performances by a range of First Nations Performing Artists, our staff and students were challenged and inspired by First Nations’ stories, knowledge and resilience.
Throughout the rest of the week in Learning Studies, our cohort spent time getting to know Kaurna country, contributed to an AIATSIS ASMS map, presented their learning in truth telling circles, and finally, reflected on the past, present, and what is next to come on our reconciliation journey.
