The students of DDD have been diving into how science and technology has and will impact humanity and vocations, while working on developing their science inquiry skills.
Part of this unit investigates the benefits and risks or AR in medicine, robot surgeons and virtual reality in surgical training so students were able to opt-in to complete a dissection practical to enhance their learning.
Our students were able to be hands-on in the lab to test a range of foods for nutrients to compliments their explorations on the future of food. This covers alternative food sources, the benefits and drawbacks of synthetic meat and the effect of food sources on humans and the environment.
