University Extension Studies

University Extension Studies is an enrichment educational opportunity that exists between Flinders University and the ASMS for high-achieving senior secondary students through an application process and ASMS recommendation and approval. Students that undertake UES will be credited with 10 credits per semester complete at Stage 2 that will count towards SACE completion. The list of subjects available is extensive and subjects with a STEM focus are supported in this opportunity.

Last week, 27 of our year 12 students began their University Extension studies at Flinders University across a broad range of subject options. An orientation event was recently held for the students and their families at Flinders University to help them settle into their new learning environment. In addition, staff from Flinders University have been visiting the school regularly to make sure that our students transition is as smooth as possible.

Our current year 11 cohort will be hearing first-hand accounts from our UES students later in the year as part of an informative presentation which will guide them with their year 12 subject choices and pathways.
